If I was in his position I'd look at the Wes Streeting result in particular. On paper, there is no way that should have been that close. But, most people like the NHS, aren't consumed with hate for trans folk, and don't like genocide.

Exactly. One of the things that a lot of people (including me) don't like about Starmer is his willingness to take pretty much any position on what appears to be a whim. But this could actually prove to be a good thing 🤞🏻 in this context, provided he's capable of sorting the wheat from the chaff.
