I tuned out a bit in a “wait and see” mode, so I can’t say. I just didn’t want to contribute to the extremely expensive bandwidth they were saddled with in one fell swoop. So I am quietly cheering them on but not posting my images there for the moment.

I’ve held off in posting there because they grew SO rapidly, I did not want to contribute to the expenses they were having with the surge.

I was in a 1st grade class and they for sure knew. Even the normally fidgety kids were silent huddling under a desk.

Right. This is what these kids are doing in school. The school used to give a heads up, but don’t even do that now, so I don’t know they had the drill unless my kids mention it.

Also, while carpooling kids home from an after-school club, they all started telling me it was “ok for them to kill a guy” in an active shooter situation. The tactic taught is for kids to delay/make their doomed fight last longer, to give other kids a chance to survive.

I’ve been in a classroom during an active shooter lockdown drill, it is INFURIATING. The craziest part is how good at the drill the kids were, and how visibly frazzled/upset the teacher was.
