One upshot of today's immunity ruling is that it would not be a crime for President Biden to steal the upcoming election if he confines himself to doing so solely by abusing his office.

It would still be a crime, it just would not be prosecutable ☺️

If, however, President Biden steals the election using only the tools available to everyone else, that would be a crime.

He should. Mostly because I don’t think SCOTUS issues this ruling if they hadn’t been told Rs had worked up a scheme for stealing the election that’s got like a 98% chance of working.

What would happen if lower court judges simultaneously refuse to follow this opinion as going against their oaths of office? Like a general refusing an illegal order? Or a bunch of government attorneys threatening to resign en masse? Lower court judges would have had to recuse if like Thomas/Alito.

Any bets that this SCOTRP would rule against Biden where they would rule for trump?
