anyway, maybe that staffer was just havin a bad night, and maybe there was already consequence for the individuals behind the scenes that we don't know about. i know majority of con staff is overworked, underappreciated and care a TON about making the con amazing, so thanks y'all!!

In this tweet, the cosplayer that was holding the weapon says it was clearly marked but the quality of the video makes it impossible to see. And I agree with them, there are WAY more important things to be mad about than this.

I still hope FWA staff addresses this. I know the con was big and busy— I mean, there was a 50% increase in attendance since last year! but this is a genuinely scary and dangerous thing to allow. all it takes is one idiot with a REAL g*n who decides to play hero………

This might be a controversial opinion, but if your staff are constantly overworked and underappreciated, and they're volunteers, then you might want to think about changing how you do things as an organisation. I hear this excuse all the time, as though just volunteering gives you free reign.
