stoked to see a bloom on my Eriogonum grande var. rubescens! had a few other blooms stalks show up but something ate the buds before they popped. still in search of Eriogonum grande var. timorum, San Diego branch of the CNPS said they might have seeds in October 🤞

huh! I've never heard of this, I've heard of walnut ketchup made from green walnuts and years ago I adapted a recipe for that to use green peaches, but mushroom is totally new to me

What aspects are you using it for? I used mint for a while and then kind of forgot about it, was reminded by them shutting it down and have been pretty happy with YNAB so far, esp. as my partner and I try to integrate our finances.

a few years ago I got the Aldi... I think it was ribeye potato chips as a joke, but my god were those good. And these are way too expensive, and kind of weird but incredibly good. Cheetos texture tangerine

it has been a long time since I worked there, and even when I did there was a vast gulf between what was allowable at my store and others in the area, but the register staffing these days is insane. we got absolutely savaged if our registered exceeded 1+1 (1 at register, 1 in line)

my mom once had a co-worker tell her (re homemade applesauce) "you can't do that, it's impossible" don't really know what she meant. when I worked retail a frozen pizza delivery driver told me basically the same thing re pizza, he thought it was Boboli, frozen, or restaurant. nothing else.

Lucky! I was going up a wild hill down here with some people I ride with, it dead ends at a cell tower location. About 2/3 of the way up I put a bit too much torque in, popped a big ol wheelie and promptly fell on my side. Thankfully I was basically stopped at that point

haven't tried this recently, but if I try to use voice to call my partner from the car I get either "turning on the garage lights" or "those lights aren't connected" My partner's name sounds nothing like garage lights, and I can see in the history it recognizes the real command
