Suggestion for folks asking for mutual aid support (based on years of experience): There's no need to say you're embarrassed or ashamed or hate to have to ask. That's exactly how capitalism wants you to feel. And it wants you to reinforce the idea that asking for help is shameful.

So sorry you have to deal with that. I have a few sensitivities bc IBS but not too bad. It’s definitely hard avoiding certain common ingredients because they put them in everything.

I got some of those bad sugar cookies from the store because I was craving them. (You know the ones, they’re soft and pale like they aren’t even baked and have the sickeningly sweet pink frosting and sprinkles). They are objectively not good but sometimes I have a mighty need.

I’m on the westside and it’s so smoky. (So much for them being banned over here). Going to have to turn down my fresh air ventilator because PM 2.5 levels have been slowing rising inside (despite having good filters plus running HEPA air purifiers).

Do you use the notes app or something else that could sync with your phone? I’ll sometimes write alt text on my desktop in notes and then open on phone and copy/paste. Especially because I’m posting the same images of shop products multiple places, and can reuse same alt text.

Yep they’re rarely as tasty. I do instant coffee (Trader Joes brand is actually pretty good) because it has less caffeine and I can control how much, but even then, on a bad day it’s still too much.

Exactly. And yep, I’m so thankful for those who have volunteered their time and energy to actually educate and collect info better than the gov ever did. I wouldn’t have stayed safe without listening to all the disabled folks, science communicators, etc who got word out early about masks etc.
