Summer cookouts and to some extent fireworks (not the yahoos doing it at 2 in the morning) are the dudes rock equivalent of patriotism, it’s the nice stupid way to love America as opposed to the kind where we destabilize a South American government

While we were freaked out at the time, the Pandemic 4th where my family hung out in the back yard all day and into the night with a kiddie pool for our feet, yard games, a fire pit, radio, the grill, and our dogs was actually a nice way to relax.
