Republicans have been steadily voting for "their guy," even when he's their idea of a "lesser evil," for 40yrs. Democrats only vote when "their guy" is ideologically pure because we can't stand being complicit in our idea of a "lesser evil." Which side is closer to their ultimate end goal rn?

Completely untrue. The GOP has been far more reactive to its rank-and-file for decades, and its rank-and-file routinely throw out leadership and replace them. When they run "RINOs", conservatives don't vote, which is what happened in 2008 and 2012.

you're right, my guy, the Democrats include both Dan Lipinski and Cori Bush because the voters demand ideological purity, meanwhile the GOP just radicalized on its own and the voters had nothing to do with it
