wish I knew how to fix it, people have to see accurate information as an intrinsic need, not something that has flavor. We should profit from it as a societal good, not as click driven infotainment slanted to benefit one side with a thumb on the scale.
“Is journalism dying?” Seems like the passive, disinterested observer voice of an archeologist recreating a puzzle piece while being explicitly forbidden from describing the puzzle it fits into.
Yeah this whole narrative that journalism is passively wilting away, presumably due to lack of reader demand or something, is incredibly frustrating. Journalism isn't "dying" it's being murdered 😭
If I was going to write an article about modern journalism and what it's like to work in the current industry I sure as shit wouldn't turn to a bunch of academics who haven't been in the business in decades LOL
