The supply chain for literally *everything* is in jeopardy, already affecting huge numbers of people. I guess when we absolutely can't get medicine and food, it will become more urgent.

And for the other side of the spectrum check out how many bridges and dams have been washed out so far by flooding. Again, my expertise is limited to Civilization and SimCity but dams and bridges, they're impressive looking but do have a practical function in keeping everything going.
