Sara Lind makes a great point in the article I don't really go over 10 mph on the road for this reason - too many variables that I may need to brake for (also, much like driving a car, I have to stop at a red light every 30 seconds anyway) - going 15 mph over a pothole vs going 8 mph is huge diff
