The only issue in my mind is that the focus, especially in the Times and outlets like it, won't change from "Biden is old" to "Trump is unfit." It will change from "Biden is old" to "Here are all the problematic things about Harris." (And I think she's the only logical choice!)

Today, I wrote 120 voter registration postcards to OH and WI (mostly WI) voters today. Mailed the first 55. Mailing in the morning the rest and whatever I can get done the rest of the night and before work. Turn your election-related anxieties into productive activism!

After you sign up to send postcards to voters in swing states, you can purchase postcards via Etsy. There are some organizations that will also give you some for free or you can print on cardstock at home if you are able.

One thing you can do from the comfort of home is write postcards to voters in swing states. Lots of ways to sign up including with Progressive Turnout Project www.turnoutpac.org/postcards/ and Third Act thirdact.org/act/write-po.... A good project to take on this summer.

They're laying the groundwork for when the first anti-Trump demonstrations happen in early 2025 and Trump orders the military to shoot protestors. Plus, the Supreme Court has now said that's okay because it will be an official act as president! We crossed the rubicon some time ago, but this is bad.

The Court ruling today is terrible but expected. I will just gently remind everyone that the election hasn’t happened yet. We shouldn’t assume the worst outcome as a foregone conclusion. That only encourages more apathy than many are already feeling.

I know it’s scary as hell out here right now and it feels like things are coming apart at the seams, but this isn’t a done deal yet and we have a very real window of opportunity to at least mount serious pushback to the encroaching autocratic state. We need to start now though and not hesitate.
