Then what real use is he? He allows for judicial appointments is the answer. The problem is that judges are a long term game (one that the GOP has been playing for decades). What we need now is decisive action, which isn't possible WITH Manchin. So it's better to push him out rather (continued)

Undercut all our policy in order to appease him. This is because the compromise on key legislative priorities damages the support of the base. Call a spade a spade, manchin is a Republican and has never really been on our side.
