I wish my parents had had better sex, because I think that affects children's development. My mother asked my father if he had wound up the clock, and he was annoyed.

Yes, I know. I took Dorothy Sayer's recommendation and one summer on an Archaeological Fieldschool it was the only book I took... a dreadful decision right up there with dating Elliot.
