So what are we cooking tomorrow for the Fourth of July? Our menu:
-hot dogs with sauteed sauerkraut & onions
-canned baked beans
-Ina Garten's French potato salad
-Smitten Kitchen corn salad with chile & lime
-SK strawberry & black pepper cocktails
-peach pie from the farm stand
I know it doesn't feel like a good time to celebrate America, but I refuse to cede this country to the worst people. There are good things about this country, and they are worth celebrating and defending. Plus I like cooking
On vacation and not cooking but just made Arugula pesto before I left & itβs a keeper recipe. Served with grilled vegetables. omg so good (Washington post marbled potato salad with Arugula pesto) for some reason the link wonβt post
Going to focus on putting together a nice picnic for my kids and ex tomorrow instead of obsessing abouts horror show that I can't change
SK always brings it. Will have to also check out the IG potato salad
