I always have a good day at work by telling myself I won the day. I simply change the rules at the end of each day to make myself the winner. Today I won a 3 in one fucking baller blitz by taking the first patient, the last patient, and the most patients overall.

Spent my free day doing chores. Finally cleaned out Poozer’s closet. (He’s been living on his own for a year, but I was being emotional about doing this.) Found all my spoons, 3 cups, 13 vapes, at least 30 dirty socks, an empty wine cooler bottle, and two empty condom boxes. He’s totally grounded.

Came home this morning to the messy remnants of a party. Letting Bug and her hungover friends sleep while I clean it up. She’ll find out when she wakes up that she gets to clean the grout for the whole bottom floor this week. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this. 👍

I love Bright Eyes. Conor Oberst had a band mate in Mystic Valley, Taylor Hollingsworth, who has a wonderfully weird voice and lives/plays in my city. Just a tidbit. His 2000’s stuff is good, especially the albums with his wife.

This is why I’d rather Airbnb than hotel. Two landscape artists own this property. 20 acres with a guest house and a couple of friendly dogs, a pool to ourselves, lots of cool sculptures and lovely botanicals around.

Tomorrow, the bf and I are meeting my dad in Tupelo to drop off Bug and her bf for a week with Grandpa. After the drop, we’re gonna stay at an airbnb in a private botanical garden, go see where Elvis was born, and do some shopping, before returning home Sunday. Mini vacays are nice.

Today’s NYT crossword can suck my big hairy balls. Go all the way into my soul to find them and then suck them til they’re bald. I hate Thursdays. I put the wrong of the doubles in each spot and had to go back and redo the damn rim and all the magical colorization can’t make me un-angry.

We need a more descriptive mattress firmness scale. I wanna know from “no physical support, but plenty of love, as you sink into a womb of fluff” to “as close as you can get to sleeping on concrete, without being on the sidewalk.” My sanity and back muscles don’t have time for mattress trials.

So…a friend of a friend uses it and says that it never fails and is always super fast and he supposedly does government contracting which warrants a ton of devices running on the same system daily. He paid $1k to purchase the home set up and like $50/month. I’m thinking about it for my house.

Today I chatted with a patient about an arena being built where a defunct hospital sits in B’ham. The surrounding neighborhood is getting bought out for parking. I sang the Big Yellow Taxi chorus, and he had never heard the song. It’s been covered and sampled a million times! He’s my age!

That’s weird. IDK. Not that you asked, but I cover them + abt an inch over in hot water, sides lightly touching for even heat distribution, add a TBSP vinegar, boil 10 min, go straight into ice water til they are cool, then tap til they’re crackled all over, and start peeling at the fat end.

Yikes! Ice and elevate for the knotty bruise. Have you tried an ankle brace? Also, as a fellow old, I’ve been using voltaren gel (diclofenac) on my sore joints and muscles. It’s OTC now and really helps.
