ha, its mostly that the content is not particularly leftist (in that it mostly is about contending against power vs class struggle), it’s been picked up by people who want the vibes of leftism without the politics, and I think generally (and this is an aside) it’s kinda overrated as a show.

fwiw none of this is to say it’s bad, I enjoyed it! I just think it’s a better than average TV show, and an amazing piece of Star Wars media post-Disney, but it’s not life changing or anything.

definitely about power over class. but i think it’s a mistake to assume it would ever touch class, because i cannot possibly imagine gilroy or his room were dying to tell a class struggle story. but they do all have histories writing about the kind of people who would choose to confront power.
