I've been clearing a large tree that fell in my yard. Bits and pieces at a time. Buying a chainsaw, axe and splitting maul was a third of the cost of having it done professionally. And I'm really enjoying it! Force me into a desk job at your peril!

Other nurses I've worked with were/are antivax. Otherwise intelligent. But often education doesn't beat team politics. And often nurses just learn enough to pass the test, do the job, etc without really understanding the concepts that make medicine work.

In RN school, we're taught how vaccines work, but there's no critical thinking regarding antivax BS that surrounds it. There's such a broad base of medical info to cover, even hammering the nursing process (the scientific process) doesn't teach how to think critically about the info we learn.

That's crazy, because as a dialysis nurse, I've got a lot of patients who've had covid and/or the vaccination. And the patients that have had covid multiple times have a lot harder time with their access or the machine clotting. Especially while they actively have covid.
