Journals that accept poetry—I beg of you—don't ask poets for a title for our submissions. It produces infinite anxiety and we'll never know what you want. Do you want a title that's one of the poems? All 5 poem titles separated by commas? A generic "5 Poems for ____"? Our names? Our hopes & dreams?

My poetry book draft will be done by mid-July and the site will document an interesting and thrilling journey as I try to get one of the few spec poetry agents. The query trenches haunt my near future.

Work all day at the day job, work 2-3 more hours at night at additional job to make ends meet, never any time to write poetry. Every day I'm more of an ancom than the last, and every day I hate the concept of money more than previously.

My wife sometimes says I should take anti-anxiety medication as I'm always overthinking and worrying and don't put myself out there as much anymore in order to avoid past trauma and prevent certain people from finding me again. But idk, that's what writing is for.

Today I found an old box with a hundred rejection letters. When I was an undergrad submitting to mags or querying my novel, I would physically print out the rejection letters and tape them to my door. To give me drive. Non-writers hearing this look at me crazy, but I think writers understand.

Yesterday I walked for my Publishing Master's. Never got to walk for Poetry MFA during COVID in 2020 so it was an emotional experience. Also won the Distinguished Scholar Award. After thirty years in school and telling myself I was done after 3 degrees, I'm now eyeing a Publishing PhD in Cambridge

This issue is our longest yet, with 10 meaty short stories that are 2-3k words and only one flash fiction story. The poems are particularly rousing and I hope readers who typically stay in the fiction pool give our narrative scifi poems a chance. You won't regret dipping into the world of poetry
