Anyway back to the tennis… much less stressful. Did any of your snacks make it through the night?

Probably not, because the Tories have a special talent for wrecking the country however long they’re in for. Whoever gets in after them has to pick up the pieces.

I think so. The nonsense about ‘There’s more to come and it’ll be a shocker’ pales into insignificance when you look at Labour’s 400+ and Reform’s 4

No. You don’t ask him, you tell him as a courtesy because he’s the head of state, but he can’t stop you resigning. And he asks who you want as your successor. That’s why it’s a democracy unlike USA where some batshit incumbent incites crowds to riot to overturn an election result he doesn’t like.

See America? This is how you do election results and the transfer of power. No sedition, no riots, no treason. All done on day one and then on with governing. Civil service keeps working, the batshit nonsense that means that all government employees are replaced and all info is shredded is avoided.

Me too. Share bag (as if) of Revels and Pringles. What time do the results start rolling in as I’m trying to squeeze a nap in first

I voted tactically even if it’s not my natural political position because it’s a Tory heartland seat and this time we could really change things. 🤞🏼 I’ve made peace with the idea that my dislike of Starmer is less than my loathing of the Tories

Even though the biggest voter fraud is in postal voting and more Tories have been charged with sexual offenses than in person voters have been charged with fraud the Tories still decided on voter suppression

So, do I just stay up and float or go to bed early, get a few hours kip and get about 2am and gloat?

What a lovely day for smashing the Tories into dust. Even the sun is shining. (Don’t forget your ID and have a snigger at the thought they only brought it in for voter suppression in younger voters)

Tory candidate was door knocking in our street last night. In the 25 years we’ve been here there has never been a candidate EVER canvassing. It’s a very blue constituency. If they’re canvassing now, they must be shitting themselves. Might have told him to fuck off and take all the Tories with him

In 2024, a woman can face imprisonment or death for making a personal choice regarding her body, but a President can engage in illegal and corrupt activities, like assassinations, and it’s just fine.

Oh shut up Sunak. There’s no such thing as a super majority in British politics. I suppose the Tories getting a majority of 90 in 2019 which meant they could do what they liked doesn’t count?

Enough hand wringing at the state of French politics, first we have our elections and time to slam the Tories into the long grass, and hopefully Reform as well. Let’s keep the fascists out for as long as possible, shall we guys?

What makes you think I find this funny? My income has plummeted I’ve lost the equivalent of £40,000 in pension. Imagine having given notice of retirement to your employer and then finding out you have to work for another 6 YEARS for a pension. Try finding work as a 60 year old. It’s hopeless.

I didn’t say every one should suffer. What I said is the French outrage is laughable to us who have been completely screwed over by pension reform. Imagine your pension being delayed by 6 years? And then not being told it would be delayed? For most women it’s 7 years.

Over on the UK we’re crying with laughter at the retirement reform and the outrage. Our retirement age has jumped up to 67 and will go higher and the French are moaning about 64? Us WASPIs are seething at having our pension changed from 60 to 66. The French have it easy

The most misnamed politician, James Cleverly completely misunderstood the Banksy boat event at Glastonbury. How can you look at that and not know it’s a total protest against the Tories immigration policy? Banksy is a political artist. This is a political statement. It’s not hard James Stupidly.
