That has never been different. The only thing that changed is how much over the "expected" value the actual expectation is. At least 100k seems to be the default.

It’s a total head f*ck. and as an fyi agents can start auctions 10% below the reserve just to stoke fomo (which is now spilling over to all their sales pitches). Buying houses is toxic af! Glad you can get a house but sorry you’re going to have to go through this 💩 it’s awful.

It's also awesome when they say the vendor will accept your lowball offer so you put it in and surprise, it's to leverage a multi offer situation lolololol
