Being brought up in "religious" homes where so much harmless stuff was forbidden, they don't have reasonable boundaries, so they lash out at all they weren't allowed to do and want to destroy it out of jealousy. That's my theory.

It's a good one. I think it's a combo of all the things mentioned here but ultimately, you can't get ppl to be brave for self-awareness. They deflect and call it Holy. Hopefully they figure it on their own, but if they keep pushing us they're gonna hear more about it.
