He’s aging as time passes. He performed fine at SOTU. To replace him now looks perfectly above board — he’s in the process of declining, and seemingly quickly (at least by perception). Also it’s up to him to leave, and it would look disloyal for her to turn on him beforehand. People wd get that.

What are those reasons? It seems like a mix of — nepotism ran her campaign into the ground (now she would have the party infra), and a bunch of other things about campaigning that she probably learned from. It just all seems small compared to Joe, who is obv on deaths door with 4 months to go.
