Yeah…
“people really don’t want to do that work anymore” feels like the problem pretty much all the non-algorithmic social media sites are running into right now. Seen it on Mastodon, cohost, etc.
Feels like early adopters were people who liked being in control of their own experience, but way more people than I expected have gotten super used to mostly-algorithmic timelines and don’t know how/want to curate their own following list.
