They made one more post on August 31 claiming orders were actively shipping, then... nothing, when nothing shipped. Claiming you *will* do something and not doing it is one thing, but actually saying they're shipping when they're not? Very weird.

Unicorn is the name of the Ruby web server GitHub uses, so unicorn's 503 page got given a unicorn theme. It's usually a timeout. IIRC the image is a stock image of an angry unicorn and not the server's actual logo.

Friend got a unicorn on GitHub when trying to load a site, which means I got to wheel out the inside explanation of why that specific error page has a unicorn image.

Rails folks: is there a way tog et the database migration “down” command to work for a migration that failed? I have a DB that failed, for reasons I’ve fixed; the down should delete the index safely so I can retry, but Rails doesn’t want to run the down since it doesn’t think the migration ran.

Made an interesting discovery working with `cargo build`'s JSON message output format: it special-cases executable artifacts, so you can easily get information on when they were built - but anything else, like a cdylib, is handled really awkwardly.
