I haven't done an actual serious comic run in a decade, and I still have people who orbit my periphery because they were deep fans. They are probably the best value add to my life that my comics gave me, next to the works themselves.

What if I make something that resembles a burrito in every way (beans, salsa, cheese, etc) but I fully intend, from intention to consumption, to eat it cold, have I willed it to be a wrap? I love my pinto queso wraps.

Just a heads up, if you find wired headphones you love but want them to be wireless, you can get a Bluetooth Transmitter to plug them into! It means still having your headphones plugged into something, but you can just stash it in a pocket. I just searched up the YMOO Bluetooth Transmitter:

I can tell I'm a little overly tired today because my brain is full of a million wonderful ideas but absolutely no energy or motivation to even consider acting on any of them. I'm using my baseline capabilities for my dayjob, then it's my daughter's birthday, then may be a nice long nap.

I couldn't be him again if I tried. It's been 6 years, it would be a parody of what the shell of him used to be. I'm just trying not to resent him for not knowing how to navigate everything. So scared of his dad. Scared of ruining a family dynamic. Head in the sand.

Framing my pre-transition persona as a loved one with all the good intentions and faults, talking about him in the third person, framing his obtuse behavior and inability to listen as traumas he inflicted on me is a really hard and eye opening perspective.

I don't think the modern generations realize just how niche and underground liking anime was in the early 90's. It took effort. You had to have hookups if you wanted to watch anything that wasn't being sold for $15 an episode on VHS at Suncoast.

He was not. And when I did a book signing at the store a decade later (yeah, fun flex) I told the management that story and they knew exactly who I was talking about and said "yeah, he had some growing up to do." He was basically Comic Book Guy from Simpsons.

I feel like it's because our culture doesn't comprehend how to think beyond our lifetimes anymore. Nobody's planning for 80 years out. The average person doesn't think about planting a tree whose shade they will never enjoy. There's nobody putting things in motion for future strangers' benefit.

As a former karate instructor/disciple who was raised by a karate instructor, this show hits so many notes for me. I want to mention, the school rival fighting is real life is much, much less than this show. But it was not zero. I have some bizarre stories from the 90's and 00's.

Hm. I feel like I should go and print out my Google Drive worth of documents I don't ever want to lose, but having just cleaned out the garage of my deceased father, I also don't want to leave a pile of shit for my kids to have to deal with. Archiving is so hard in terms of deciding what to keep.

I don't remember exactly the one I had, but I think it was Pinnacle PCTV. Apparently they kept making them well into the HDTV era so I can't find the exact card I had, but I do remember it had a huge coaxial screwport sticking out the back!

Granted it's different/better now where it's coming over as data and not an analog signal, but from a functionality standpoint ,where I could have a window with a show on while doing something else when I was in COLLEGE IN THE 90's then it went dormant for 15 years before I could do it again? In 1998 I had a card in my computer that could capture broadcast TV (from say, a coaxial cable or antenna) and broadcast it inside a software window on my desktop with zero lag. And I think it's crazy that I had that tech TWENTY SIX YEARS AGO and we're only now this last decade getting back to it.
