In the year 2024, people discussing ageism while shouting down gerontocracy talk…are people who are in denial about decline. Decline hits us all, inevitably, and “managing your age” is good. Pres Biden is declining, IMO. Expressing concern that 70/80 somethings refuse to let go is not ageism, IMO.

Im not ‘shouting down’ gerontocracy talk. Original skeet was about ageism. I would like folks to consider original skeet without justifying attitudes towards older people by citing the existence of a gerontocracy. There is No justification. Choose not to be ageist. Or don’t. That’s what I got. Bye.
