I live 5 minutes walk away from my daughter's school and the number of my neighbours I see a) driving in and b) insisting on parking as close to the school gates as possible is ridiculous.

When my kids were at primary school I went to the point of helping the school collate a list of free safe places to park within 10m walk from the school after almost getting run over by another parent deciding to reverse up the single narrow pavement he'd been parked on. It got ignored.
