He’s got some backers, can’t be the DA in San Francisco and Los Angeles without some bankroll. But this is probably a defensive action, not expecting to get more money but looking to keep antagonistic donors, orgs etc on the sidelines. The campaigns against Bush, and Bowman are meant to be examples.
