The worst part is that Obama's *were* the liberal option in 2009 & the EU's current woes illustrate the alternative. If conservatives had their way, we'd have solved the recession by privatizing Medicare, abolishing food stamps, & deporting half of California

Yeah like if you don't want to give the man credit for the best response to the financial crisis in the entire world, the whole "prevented a depression" thing, then his presidency looks a lot more lackluster! That's kind of a key part of the Case For Obama!
