I had a conversation related to this recently. My point being that another consequence of this = people like me (and you, presumably!) end up spending a lot of time writing articles / speaking to experts to correct the record. Like, a lot of people's time is taken up with nonsense. Too much.

Yeah lol, I've literally called up a doctor while reporting and said "People on TikTok are taping their mouth shut while sleeping, should they really be doing that?"
