i really believe that no matter what anyone says to him, joe's too stubborn to drop out and there's no practical way to force him to without badly fracturing the party 4 months before an election presumably they know this so i want to believe there's some bigger play/optics bullshit at work here

like which of these supposed senators are on the ballot themselves this year? what data do they have access to that makes this seem like the move with regards to their particular voter base? i am certain at least some dem senators would rather ensure they remain senators than ensure a dem president
