Go to Biltmore House in Asheville. Now choose a detail. Get right up to it and look close, like you're reading the fine print. The corner of a window facing the waiting area sticks in my mind. It's all flawless, like looking at a 178,000 sq ft swiss watch. That's some real luxury there.

I got something stuck between molars so bad that I couldn't floss it out. I fashioned a tiny hook from a small zip tie and used it to thread floss under the problem, and was able to pull it out from below. I am survivorman.

Going straight up a hillside so steep that the whole front end bounced on every tiny bump was pretty wild. No concerns for anything at all, since it was all to be bulldozed. But no one buying a Macan is ever going to do this. And I only did it once. (The work was hard labor, swinging a pick)

I had a 4x4 Toyota in college. One summer I worked for my dad on a site that was being developed in the San Ramon hills east of San Francisco. Once in the gate, I was completely free to point myself in any direction and just go. Steep hills, not Moab style rock crawling. It was incredible.

Buying in 2007 and white knuckling through 2009 was a thing I don't want to do again. My advice is to buy in sept of 2021 and get a 2.5% rate. Tricky but it's possible, I swear.
