She stopped growing as an artist once I Love Lucy reached its fab peak. Her later shows were unfunny & she was a fan of 3's Company. I think she was a liberal; a famous friend told me abt her & Roz trashing Nixon at a Jack Benny party. He asked them to go to the library so Carson wldn't be offended.

Did she buy it herself, for herself, out from under Angela? I was told that Rosalind Russell and her agent/producer husband were v friendly w/ Ethel during Gypsy's run, then the hubbie put together the $ to buy the film rights and cast Roz in a role, to be overly polite, she wasn't born for.

I've never seen Lucy's version. Is it good? I have a friend who insists it's underrated but he saw it when he was about 5. I love her in the "Hey Look Me Over" Ed Sullivan clip, but I understand her voice was not the sort that could withstand the rigors of a Bway musical starring role.

Flubbing a line and correcting it is not an example of mental decline. However if a person has early dementia or Parkinson's, which have some symptom overlap, mental acuity can be better on some days than others but will trend downward, and the trend will only be noticeable over time.

This movie is so beautiful. Edith Head did her best to hide Audrey's imperfections - the small waist by the wide belt, the prominent collarbones by the collared blouse - because otherwise no one would have thought her beautiful.

I think they have condos in a high-rise w/ a skateboard course and an indoor pool. There's a secret stair that connects the units. XZ calls his arty poolside place "Lotus Pier" and WY calls his view condo full of toys "Cloud Recesses." I may be wrong but chances are I'm right because: fairy tales.
