He has a lot of work to do to get back to where he was, and that was a losing position already. His approval rating was already far below where it needed to be, his biggest issue was, and will now remain, his age. Polls are the only doctor you have. And the data is not good news

Considering it hasn't been resolved, expect discussion to continue. I don't think the horrors of Trump are being ignored. They just underscore the importance of having someone who can beat him. And Biden cannot.

From an observer capacity (I won't say impartial, I can't stand Trump). I am surprised by the comments here. Simple fact is, he is a decent guy, but he is old. It is unrealistic to think he can beat Trump now. That ship has sailed. So, this needs to be discussed, it has global ramifications.

Well, yes, it's a big source. But, the wins here come in two ways. The reduction of ruminants means a reduction in indirect land use which is linked to deforestation. This also means a direct reduction in CH4, which is one of the best levers we have to control temperature change NOW.

An important part of the debate. But, access and supply in regions with over and under nutrition issues are an important part of it. Livestock products largely do not reach those who are food insecure.

Livestock products are nutritionally beneficial and an important part of the debate. This is leveraging a food security narrative. That opens up access questions. For the most food insecure, nutrient dense products are out of reach. With most going to regions with an over nutrition issue.

Hmmm ... I would have a different take. Cool is subjective, and values come from culture. I don't think "cool" is a fixed position, but I do feel like the loudest folk (not necessarily the majority) tend to be the most entitled. Which is a reflection of values. For whatever that is worth.

I feel the same way. Not that I don't wish you a good night sleep, but, I really wish there was a wider sense of urgency out there. We don't seem to get how much is in the line or how quickly it is slipping away.

Production. Achieving sustainability is not going to be easy, but not doing so risks our means of producing food. Anti Biden, bullshit propaganda does nothing to help farmers, consumers, or future generation.

What a load of trumpian spin. It complains about the impacts of climate change on production yet accuses net-zero ambition of driving price changes in fertilizer. Fertilizer supply from increased conflict and global supply issues will cost farmers. Addressing climate is key for food ....

So.. anyone who has issues with the text of the Dublin Declaration is attacking science and a vocal minority? I don't dispute the nutritional value of livestock production. But the current food sys will never meet food security challenges, and increasing production won't change that.

Saw a post before the new year from a NGO in Ireland warning of this potential issue being a danger in Ireland. There were a group of farmers on X demanding the poster be doxxed and "reprimanded".
