I have a pedal-assist e-bike. I pedal just as hard, but I go twice as fast. Not all e-bikes have throttles. I have three bulging discs from a work injury, a displaced nerve root, and facet arthropathy. My hip sucks from limping with leg pain caused by the nerve root. I’ve earned a motor.

Went car free in Minneapolis a month ago after being a cargo bike last summer and it’s the most liberating thing I’ve done since I quit drinking, and that 15 year anniversary is next week!

Not an office reference per se, and while yes, fuck capitalism, I had no deeper message against democrats. They aren’t the ones taking people’s rights away, and a Democrat trifecta here in Minnesota brought us universal school lunch, legal cannabis, the right to abortion, and e-bike rebates.

When I have her all loaded up outside a store, people my age (months from 50, wtf?) are drawn to her and I give them the spiel. Angry Catfish should give me cards to hand out and give me some store credit for each bike I move. They’re FASCINATED. Deep down everyone wants to ride a bike.

My posture has been historically terrible, worse since the injury, and I’ll be damned if the geometry of that bike isn’t improving my posture standing sitting whatever. Pretty incredible so far.

Second battery is like $650. Hopefully that part of the technology gets a little bit better, but I can’t really complain. 20 miles at top speed pretty good. get close to 50 on the Eco mode but turbo is so much fun

I appreciate that! The Benno Boost was in the running, but a step-through really sealed the deal. The Remi Demi is awfully heavy (80 pounds kitted out), so I just have to make sure I manage the battery well or I’ll end up with quads the size of goats.

I bought a Benno Remi Demi last summer. I have a wicked back injury, including three bulge discs and didn’t think I’d ever find meaningful exercise again besides swimming. The geometry of the bike is perfect. I sold my car. Now, eager to find out if other bikes can work as well, but grateful.

Any attorneys in Minnesota want to help me out in an attempt to have Workers Compensation law in the state declared unconstitutional? It creates a system wherein equal protection under the law cannot exist. It’s novel, perhaps but 5 years without any settlement or any cash payment is enough.
