I don't live in the US anymore, but I was talking to some other US natives and they were complaining that they can't talk in the theater like they could "back home" and I was like "what" and then we all found out that talking in the theater is an extremely regional thing.

While I personally believe in "ban cars", I think of it kinda like "dismantle capitalism" in that I know that it's not realistic in the short-to-medium term so it's basically a waste of effort when there are more achievable priorities like congestion pricing or minimum wage increases

If cities become easy/fast to drive in, induced demand will make it difficult and slow to drive in within a few years. Both goals are achievable if public transit and walking/biking infrastructure remains superior to driving, then those who still want to drive will be even more comfortable: win/win

He also died because Joffrey was stupid and cruel as well. Joffrey could have had it all had he just kept Ned as a hostage but instead he had to take the most violent action. He only survived after that for as long as he did because of his grandfather and sheer luck.
