After last night’s debacle, this is now. You can’t push people to public transportation only to have it be entirely unreliable. And again, congestion pricing will do zero to help NJ Transit. So unless they’re going to make it a unified regional system, it won’t help us.

Not my trains. I don’t take the MTA. I take NJ Transit. And most of my issues are caused by Amtrak’s shitty infrastructure.

First of all, I’ve had over 20 years of bad experiences. And never once did I say get rid of trains. Perhaps they could improve them so we don’t have major issues regularly though?

And leaving your office to get to the train and then working on the train is not realistic. You can't work until the train gets out of the tunnel into NJ, so between leaving to catch the train until you can work is 30-40 minutes if there are no delays. Meanwhile, everyone is waiting on you.

No. I said being in the office doesn't help him have to do his job. They require 3 days a week. Like me. I have to come in 3 days. It is rarely helpful to my work. We have no choice.

Trains and buses to NJ don't run 24 hours a day. The last one of my trains leave at 1am. Sometimes he works later than that. And if he misses the 12:05 and has to sit in Penn station until 1am, that doesn't sound like a great option.

Lincoln tunnel is another $15+ a day, plus gas, plus wear and tear on the car. Plus, if you work until midnight, mass transit isn't really an option. I understand wanting to lessen cars in Manhattan, but this will hurt a lot of people.
