It’s naive to think he would admit it, right? Lawyers are telling him he can beat it, and if the lawyers are cheaper than the potential damages, he denies it. Same with his PR people, publishers etc. There are established roadmaps for all this for the rich and famous.

Even when backed into a corner, every person has the option to do the right thing, and speak the truth. I’m incredibly sad though, as the Sandman series on Netflix was fantastically amazing for trans actors. If he keeps it up, the show may get cancelled.
