You’re thinking in quid pro quo terms: if you vote for me, I will do X, Y, and Z. That’s not the right frame. Biden isn’t going to promise them anything because he’s clearly calculated that he can be for Israel or for Gaza but not both. He’s obviously chosen the former…

… So the better way to think about it is, of the two possible administrations, which one might Gaza activists be able to force some concessions from? Biden probably doesn’t want a full-on genocide on his legacy, wants Dems to hold the WH in ‘28, Dems have a progressive wing in the party…
