I get what you mean. Once his uselessness and pomposity was put into some kind of context, he became weirdly endearing. Went waaay out of his comfort zone too, to assist our heroes. You said it before, but it still feels weird rooting for a cop and some politicians.

Are you up to date on the Silt? Knowing that it all ends later this month is making me feel weirdly hyper. It's been so good, and I have no doubt that they'll stick the landing - it's just that the landing will be bumpy by design.
