And the counterintelligence work done as well to ferret out moles/spies was mind boggling. Most enjoyable was hashing out agreements in Reykjavik bars in the wee hours.

Great write-up. It's hard to overstate how huge the transition from rtmp servers to systems that used HTTP get instead. Combined with advanced CDN techniques it made today's streaming world possible. I remember being briefed on Move Networks first work in this area and seeing it implemented.

In other exciting news, I upgraded the RAM in the home QNAP NAS. Had to fully disassemble the box to do it and was worried about the RAID array coming back up clean, but it did. The amount of dust bunnies inside was scary.

After installing a new video card in my PC that required a new 12VHPWR type of power cable, I have now fallen down the hole of RGB PSU cabling. Pray for my soul.

Beekeeper here. I get that the smell of alarm pheromone smells like banana to me. But I haven't seen it as an issue. I've even fed banana to the bees with no issues. IMHO, it's a non-issue. YMMV.
