Stumbled across this design I did for a QuakeCon 2001 mini-site for PlanetQuake. Two things stand out to me: 1. I kind of miss when all websites didn't look basically identical 2. I enjoyed having a job where I could present this kind of sample text without a second thought.

I agree with your first point so much! Absolutely HATE the drab flat design trends we've been stuck in. The design industry has gotten really really bland and industrialized.
