if you can't afford to drop $150 on a TourBox, grab that old joy-con that drifts, download joytokey.net (PC) or usboverdrive.com (mac) and map all your favorite shortcuts to your controller. Ergonomic AND cheap!

I have a neighbor whose kids have been playing with fireworks all day. One of them is little (4? 5?) and screams bloody murder regularly. I keep expecting to look out and see that he's become horribly injured.

I'm just gonna say this: It's gross when old men try to have sex with young women. It's always been gross. It's grosser when old men try to have sex with young women who work for them. It's even grosser when access to housing, transportation and financial stability is in the mix. It's gross.

One of the hardest things about losing confidence in your own art is how the negative feelings crawl backward through time and memory. Working in the present is clouded over but so too become memories of past successes. It's hard to summon hope and determination without a memory of something better.

My favorite joke is something like this lonely guy goes to buy a pet and at the shop ends up with this centipede in a tiny house that the clerk tells him can talk. He goes home and waits for it to speak, gets bored waiting, taps the house, says "Centipede, you wanna go out for a drink?"

I'm reading a well-regarded book (with a well-regarded TV adaptation), and it is so utterly cartoonish in its depiction of misogyny in science that mustache-twirling villains are shuffling their feet and trying not to be noticed in such company.

It's not an easier answer than anything else. Biden was voted in as the nominee through the primary process; Harris was not (the VP never is). Flipping the ticket would be as much a rejection of the primary process as selecting any other candidate by fiat. (Plus race, class, and gender issues.)
