Seaway bike path along the St-Lawrence river is one of the best & most special & unique Montreal bike rides.
It also has some of Montreal's worst asphalt.
There's a petition to get the city to repave:

It's called the REV. Not one person has ever called it the EBN. Well except for the travel writer @LesaHannah and maybe next time she'll ask "Is that really what you call it?" On the plus side she got off the beaten path and onto a bike, which is the #1 best way to see Montreal. Full story here:

Bike path is now also a quad ATV trail? This is a new development, and not a good one. Sign on the right is newly installed. Barrier gates to prevent quads/ATVs from entering the bike path have been removed over a 13 km section of the bike path.

25 km bike path is good for mellow riding or at end of day when it's empty you can see how fast you can do it. Probably we prefer the slow/medium speed tho. Nice to enjoy rural & forest scenery, tranquility, solitude.

70 km afternoon ride today was rain-risk so we did loops beside Sentier de Paysan bike path, & bc of weather bike path was empty so time trialed full length of bike path 25 km back to the start - did it in under one hour which is fast for old people.
