Started today very on brand by testifying at a city hearing about a landscape company using leaf blowers despite a seasonal ban here in Cambridge. No autumn leaves in summer, no blowing. Makes sense, yeah? They were fined $700 for the violation… not enough to stop them alas…

The fascist dictators of the 20th c - Mussolini, Franco, Hitler, Stalin - were in their 40s. Same as financiers who drove the mortgage crisis and tech CEOs of today’s platforms/AI. Politics as gerontocracy is a disaster, yes. But longer-lived usurpations of our power are in place

Picked up a cheap copy, had never heard it. A-side includes what must be the worst cowbell performance of the era. But even this aimless record is an object lesson in the sound of an LP - everything was so aligned from studio to pressing then, we will never see that again
