I see these at my feeder (MO) and a pic of this bird was a Jeopardy question tonight (state bird of Alabama) and the answer was Yellowhammer. Never heard them called that.

They have a teeny streak of yellow on their belly -- it's really hard to see. Sometimes they're called Yellow-Shafted Flicker ... Sooooo, Yellowhammer.
