Reminds me of a situation with an ISP. I ditched them when it became apparent that the locally owned and run ISP had been purchased by a multinational. Cue the emails. I was one cent in credit with them, and they wouldn't close my account because of that. That resulted in an email a day. 1/?

Then there were advertising emails, opinion emails, feedback emails. I eventually contacted the TCO (government entity meant to solve these things). Someone contacted me from the ISP, telling me that all my details were removed from their system. Two days later I get another email from them. 2/?
