if he’s so messed up over having his dead son mocked to his face, maybe he should have done something about it. but he didn’t, because he can’t, he’s too Gone to even stand up for himself.

I feel for her truly, but I had a mother who died of Alzheimer's, and have a 86 year-old mother-in-law whose mental acuity has headed downward in the past year, significantly in the last four months, and this would not be someone with whom I would trust nuclear launch codes.
