I want that book - years later the kids say “we had a wonderful nanny when we were little” and their aunt says “What? There was never a nanny when I visited!” It’s called Mother’s Helper. Juno Temple (in tattered shroud) plays the nanny in the movie version.

Having bought three versions of The Emperor’s New Lipstick, I broke down and went to Ultima for some advice. They sold me the perfect lip color for $10 and a tinted moisturizer for $39! (I didn’t ask about the price when she handed it to me because I figured it was in the same neighborhood.)
